Couture Cocktail Dress

An Original Vintage Inspired Bespoke Couture Cocktail Dress

In 2013 I entered the Tessuti Awards, an annual dressmaking competition in Sydney, Australia. Entrants had to design and make an outfit in one of two fabrics chosen by Tessuti Fabrics. I chose the red option, a beautiful French Taffeta. The theme for this fabric was ‘Red Hot’. My design was inspired by two vintage couture fashion designers: Robert Piguet and Lanvin-Castillo.
