Vignettes of Fond Domestic Memories

Morning Tea Bathed in Light
On a wicker chest box, the morning tea tray rests like a still life in motion — sunlight casts a soft glow over worn linen and porcelain edges, illuminating the grace of a morning ritual in the quiet hush of the studio. Time lingers just long enough to notice the beauty in beginning again.

Dressing Up In Tulle
There’s a quiet delight in making something beautiful by hand — like the silk petticoat skirt I made with a ruffled tulle hem. Edged in lace ribbon and finished with a peach satin ribbon bow, I made this petticoat to wear beneath a 1940's vintage cotton voile tea dress. The delicate bow and ruffled tulle catch the light beautifully looking down onto my pointed leather strap shoes peeking out — a soft echo of 1950s charm. In that fleeting frame, the past felt present, wrapped in thread, ribbon, and reverie.

Tools of a Rare Trade
Beautifully hand crafted crochet de Luneville handles are essential tools of this rare trade. These tools are made of South American native timbers due to their density, beauty and smooth finish and over time take on a patina from contact with the natural oils of your hands.

High Tea for Two
A favourite pastime of baking for a decadent high tea for two at the boutique many years ago. Cream puffs, madeleines, and a delicate German sponge cake — all lovingly prepared by my mother and I, a memory I will never forget and always cherish. Set in natural light with vintage Moscato Rosé sparkling wine and fine china, each setting became a decadent little escape. It was a quiet joy of serving others the comfort of home with the charm of couture surroundings — a ritual of sweetness and slow, shared delight.

Crafting Luxury Couture
Red tulle laid across the atelier table like a whisper of drama, scattered with vintage black paillettes that catch the light like glints of midnight. Gold embroidery thread glimmers in delicate loops, waiting to be drawn into something timeless. The fabric breathes with possibility — a quiet moment suspended between imagination and creation, where every sequin and strand holds the promise of couture.
