Pin Tucks with Insertion Lace
Here’s a quick update on my Edwardan inspired blouse
An Edwardian inspired blouse is not truly Edwardian inspired unless it has pin tucks AND lace. So I’ve decided to add a yoke to my blouse featuring white lace ribbon inserted between columns of spaced pin tucks.
I’m using two widths of lace ribbon with a lovely floral pattern. One is 2cm wide, the other is 3cm wide. In between each column of lace are three channels of pin tucks. The effect is lovely don’t you think?
Below are photos of my mannequin fitted with samples of pin tucks stitched for my blouse. Horizontal pin tucks across the bust makes for an interesting blouse, giving the appearance of a midriff. A high neck collar is also a must!
